GTA VI is likely to be a very large download, so Rockstar is giving players a full week to prepare. Its updated support documentation confirms the preload date, explains the unusual code-in-box physical release and sets out region rules that matter if you buy abroad or use an account registered in another country.

How the Physical Copy Works
Rockstar calls it a physical version, but the box contains a single-use digital download code. There is no playable disc. Retail shipping and pickup are expected to begin November 12 so buyers can redeem the code and join the same preload window as digital customers. The physical option is Standard Edition only; owners can buy the Ultimate Edition Upgrade digitally after redeeming the base game.

PlayStation Region Rules
A PlayStation code must match the country group attached to your PlayStation account. Buying a cheaper box while travelling can therefore leave you with a code your account cannot redeem. Rockstar lists separate groups for Brazil, Latin America, North America, Korea, Japan, the UK, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, parts of Asia, and a broader EMEA/Asia group. Check the box region and your PSN account country before paying.
