The Kortz Center Heist is now live in GTA Online, sending crews into Los Santos' most valuable art venue. It is a real new heist rather than a themed playlist: players buy the right property upgrade, scout the museum, unlock tools and decide how to move through the finale. The key question is not simply how much the artwork pays, but whether your existing property portfolio makes the operation worth starting.
Quick answer
Own a Mansion first, add the Art Studio through Prix Luxury Real Estate, then use the new planning board to begin scouting. If you are starting from zero, build capital elsewhere before paying the full property-and-upgrade bill.
How to Unlock the Heist
1. Own a Mansion
The Kortz operation is hosted from the Mansion property system introduced before the heist.
2. Add Art Studio
Open Prix Luxury Real Estate, choose your Mansion and add the Art Studio under renovations or additional rooms.
3. Use the board
The Art Studio becomes the operation hub for contacting Raf, selecting setups and launching the scope-out.
The Art Studio is more than a decorative room. It provides the counterfeiting and planning infrastructure needed to replace stolen works, while the board turns the Mansion into your launch point. The GTA VI properties guide covers the broader safehouse and business design, but the Kortz requirement is a GTA Online-specific Mansion upgrade.
The Kortz Center Heist Flow
- 1Scope outInspect the exhibition, identify the primary target, map entry points and look for secondary artwork.
- 2PrepareComplete the equipment, disguise, weapons and getaway work needed for the approach you want to run.
- 3InfiltrateEnter the Kortz Center, manage security and collect the primary painting plus any valuable secondary targets.
- 4Escape and sellGet the artwork out, deliver it to the buyer and decide whether the rotation's primary piece is worth keeping or selling.
Cost Versus Payout
Community testing and reporting put the full entry cost at roughly GTA$16.2 million when a player needs to buy a Mansion and the Art Studio without discounts. The heist's strongest outcomes are reported around GTA$2 million before the finer details of bonuses, splits and rotating targets. Those figures make an important distinction: this is an endgame property activity, not an efficient first-business recommendation.
Preparation Tips
- ◆Scout before committing to a route. The camera and entry information can save more time than rushing the first run.
- ◆Bring a crew when you are targeting secondary pieces; a solo run is possible, but extra hands make the museum floor easier to control.
- ◆Do not buy the Art Studio purely for a headline payout. Compare the setup cost with your current passive businesses and existing Mansion ownership.
- ◆Watch the target rotation and event bonuses. A strong painting or a temporary discount is the best time to recover the property investment.
What It Means for GTA 6
The timing is notable: Rockstar launched a full heist update with GTA VI now scheduled for November 19, 2026. That does not prove GTA Online is ending, and Rockstar's live service still has a large player base. It does show that the current game remains an active testing ground for property-based planning, rotating targets and high-value replay loops—systems players will naturally compare with our GTA 6 economy and heist analysis.
