GTA 6 launch and unlock time JSON API

One static JSON file, CORS enabled, no key. Fields are read from the file we actually serve.

These are plain static files. There is no key, no sign-up and no rate limit beyond ordinary good manners: cache what you fetch and please do not poll more than once a day, because the files only change when we re-check the data.

  • Licence: CC BY 4.0. Credit GTA VI Guide and link to https://gtasixguide.com/tools/unlock-time/. This is a fan-made guide; GTA VI and related marks belong to Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive.
  • CORS: every file under /data/ is served with Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *, so you can call it straight from browser JavaScript.
  • Update cadence: Updated when Rockstar, PlayStation or Xbox publish something new, or when a named outlet reports a time. The updated field carries the date; the update log is on the unlock time page.
  • Versioning: files are overwritten in place. The checked date below tells you which version you have.
  • Related: embeds, charts and downloads and the press and media kit.

GET /data/unlock-times.json

An object with the launch date, the current status, the statement of what has and has not been announced, a count of official announcements, unlockRows (region, UTC time, status Official, Reported, Derived or Signal, source) and the dated facts behind them.

Empty or null means the source did not state it, not that the answer is zero. Money is in the source's own currency and is never converted. Dates are ISO 8601.
