Corrections Log

What we got wrong, what we changed, and when

When an independent audit finds an error, or a reader reports one, we fix the page and record it here with the date. These entries come from audits in which a reviewer who did not write the page re-read each claim against the original source. To report an error yourself, use contact. Our approach is in the editorial policy.

GTA 6 release date and editions

We had said the Xbox page showed no prices. Xbox lists $79.99 Standard, $99.99 Ultimate and a $20 Ultimate Edition upgrade, and we added the UK (£69.99 and £89.99) and Australian (A$129.95 and A$159.95) prices from both stores. We also fixed a pre-order date label (the post is dated 24 June, the pre-order opens 25 June), and corrected the first-published date in the update log to 30 April.

    GTA 6 cheats

We removed two claims we could not support, that no Rockstar support article mentions cheats for GTA VI and that the only one it documents is for GTA V, because a support search is not exhaustive. The count of confirmed cheats, zero, was correct.

    GTA Online and GTA 6

We had written that a pre-order includes a month of GTA+. That applies to digital pre-orders only. The remark attributed to a Take-Two shareholder event stays labelled Reported.

    Unlock time tool

We corrected how we described the PlayStation Store's displayed time (it shows the viewer's local time, 05:00 UTC), relabelled three regions from Derived to Reported because an outlet lists them, and relabelled the US row: outlets report one moment (05:00 UTC) for the US and Canada, not Eastern time only. The page still says the times are not official.

    Launch hub

The editions row said Confirmed for store listings. Rockstar states no price, so it is now labelled as shown on the PlayStation and Xbox listings. The performance row said Not announced; it now notes Digital Foundry's report of 30 fps.

    Pre-order bonus

We removed a 23:59:59 cut-off on 19 November that appears on no official page (PlayStation and Rockstar say before 20 November), corrected the source for the pack contents to the Rockstar Store, and noted that the Store also lists the GTA+ month as a digital bonus.

    What to do before launch

A region-lock row said Confirmed by Rockstar Support, but Support could not be re-read, so it is now flagged as read on 1 August.

    Editions and retailers

We removed the same unsupported cut-off, removed a Garage item not on the Store's list, and reworded a Rockstar Store price that depends on the visitor's location. "Confirmed" now explicitly means a platform-store listing, not a Rockstar announcement.

    Technical showdown

The page cited a summary of May 2025 and said no frame-rate or resolution figures existed. We now cite Digital Foundry's own analysis (about 1440p and a locked 30 fps in the footage, ray-traced reflections and global illumination) and mark the report that a Rockstar representative confirmed 30 fps as Reported, because it is relayed through another outlet.

Pages that were checked and needed no change, such as the launch week hub, the PC release date page and the preload size page, are not listed.
