GTA VI launches on Thursday, 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar set that date on its Newswire on 6 November 2025 and has not moved it since. Digital pre-orders can pre-load from 12 November. There is no PC version, no announced unlock time and no online mode. The table below gives each fact with its status and where it came from.

How the date got here
Rockstar's Trailer 1 post (5 December 2023) said "Coming 2025 to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S". On 2 May 2025 Rockstar moved the game to 26 May 2026, and on 6 November 2025 to 19 November 2026. Both posts give more time for quality as the reason and nothing more specific. The dated list, with sources, is on the delay history page. Rockstar has not said the date is final; a change would appear on its Newswire first.
What to check before launch day
- Pre-order or buy before 20 November if you want the Vintage Vice City Pack; the editions and bonuses page explains the two editions.
- Digital pre-orders and code-in-box copies can start downloading on 12 November; see preload and region rules and the preload tracker.
- A physical copy is a download code, not a disc, so it does not avoid the download; see the disc question.
