Rockstar has moved GTA VI's release twice, and both changes are on its Newswire: 2 May 2025 (to 26 May 2026) and 6 November 2025 (to 19 November 2026). Trailer 2 came out on 6 May 2025, four days after the first delay, not the same day as an older version of this page said. The current date is 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Claims we could not verify
An earlier version of this page included a 69 million first-day view figure, a quoted line attributed to Take-Two's CEO, a claim about insider seeds and statements about development crunch and internal reasons for the delays. We could not tie any of these to a page we read, so they are removed. Rockstar's own posts are the only reasons for the delays on record.
Is 19 November final?
Rockstar has not said the date is final, and no further delay has been announced. Both delays came through the Newswire, so that is where a change would appear first. As of 28 September 2026 the Newswire, the GTA VI site and both console stores still show 19 November 2026.
